An exciting start for Messi in the new season


 In a thrilling match at Dignity Health Sports Park, the Los Angeles Galaxy and Inter Miami played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. The visitors, led by Lionel Messi, secured a last-minute equalizer, marking Messi’s first goal of the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS)campaign.

The scoring action unfolded as follows:

  • Dejan Jovelji, the Galaxy striker, broke the deadlock by finding the net in the 75th minute.
  • In a dramatic turn of events, Messi rescued Gerardo Martino’s side with a crucial goal in the 91st minute.

Despite Los Angeles controlling most of the contest, Inter’s goalkeeper, Drake Callender, made several crucial saves to keep Messi and his teammates in the game. It was only in crunch time that Jordi Albaassisted Messi for the equalizer.

Earlier in the match, the Galaxy had a chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty in the 12th minute. However, Callender denied Riqui Puig’s shot.

Although Jovelji managed to put the ball in the back of the net in the 75th minute, the goal was disallowed after a VAR review.

As a result, Inter now have four points, while the Galaxy secured their first point of the season after their debut

Al-Nassr Faces Ronaldo Absence After Suspension for Obscene Gesture
